CIW Faculty Institute

The CIW Faculty Institute is a structured faculty development program designed to facilitate CIW training for educators in an accessible and affordable environment. CIW classes taught by experienced IT educators help train instructors on the material covered in the CIW course and how to implement a CIW program in their own schools and classrooms.

A select list of approved Faculty Institute academic institutions offer CIW Faculty Institute training for IT and Business educators. These academic institutions help prepare secondary and post-secondary educators to become Certified Instructors using Official CIW curriculum and have extensive experience with the CIW program. Faculty Institute classes are open to all public educators.

Each training course includes:

• 45+ hours of training for each CIW course (combination of self-study, assignments, instruction)
• Instruction by experienced academic CIW Certified Instructors
• Use of Official CIW instructor-led course curriculum
• Individual Online Assessment for each student
• Preparation for faculty to take CIW Exam
• CIW exam voucher for the educator to take exam at the end of the class
• Ongoing support from <%= Application("constCompanyName") %> to answer questions as you implement CIW in your own classroom
• Opportunity to share experiences and best practices with other educators in the classroom

Delivery Options

CIW Faculty Institutes can be delivered in one of three ways:

1. On-line classes
2. Private classes for interested groups
3. Custom classes for interested groups (hybrid on-line and classroom classes)

Cancellation and Refund Policy

A full refund will be issued if notice of cancellation is received at least two weeks before the first day of class. If cancellation is received less than two weeks before the first day of class, you will be issued a 50 percent refund for class materials, excluding exam vouchers and shipping charges. Exam vouchers and shipping charges are non-refundable. No-shows and cancellations received after the first day of class are not eligible for refunds.

To be eligible for any refund, you must return class materials in their unopened, shrink-wrapped packaging. Class materials include books, supplemental CDs and any other physical assets shipped to you for teaching purposes.
