CIW Certifications Surpass 110,000 Worldwide - August 15, 2007
Certification milestone makes CIW largest vendor-neutral Web training certification program

VCampus Corporation (OTCBB: VCMP.OB), owner of the CIW (Certified Internet Web Professional) certification program, today announced that it has issued more than 110,000 CIW certifications worldwide, making CIW the world's largest vendor-neutral Web training certification program. The total number of CIW certifications has grown by more than 115 percent since the end of 2000.

"The reasons for CIW's success are clear," said Karl Childs, commercial solutions certification architect for Hewlett-Packard. "No other vendor-neutral certification provides anything like CIW's college credit program. Similarly, no other program has demonstrated CIW's global reach or ability to generate professional Web designers and developers."

In the United States alone, 90 percent of more than 16 million students in 27,000 high schools take vocational training courses, and CIW is poised to capture this market. Students who complete classes that use the CIW curriculum are eligible to receive college credit toward a postsecondary degree through state articulation agreements in Arkansas, Tennessee and Virginia.

"Students are lining up to learn the business, marketing and Web 2.0 skills CIW teaches," said Sandy Cobb, director of instructional technology at Mid-South Community College in Arkansas. "My students are just a portion of those who quickly see CIW as a way to apply seemingly abstract business, marketing and technical concepts in exciting, novel ways."

CIW's college credit program has global reach. CIW credits the recent success of its program in China, Japan and Egypt for reaching and breaking the milestone of 100,000 certifications issued. CIW representatives continue to develop and strengthen relationships in countries all over the world as Web-related and IT jobs become more prominent.

"Each CIW module gives you recognized college credit here in Scotland," said Patrick Afchain, business development manager for the University of Paisley's School of Computing. "CIW has done so well because it is ideal if you are seeking to enter the Internet workforce or if you are an Internet professional who wants to advance in your field."

"We've built a global network of schools that provide college credit for anyone who holds a CIW certification," said James Stanger, Chief Certification Architect for VCampus. "Our international community of professionals readily credits CIW for providing them essential skills. People worldwide are purchasing our new self-study kits. Our next step will be exploiting Web 2.0-based technology to further develop our base."
