VCampus announces CIW college scholarship program - September 28, 2007
First annual college scholarship will award three college-bound students $2,000 total in scholarships for Web design

VCampus Corporation (OTCBB: VCMP.OB), owner of CIW, the largest vendor-neutral Web certification program, today announced an annual college scholarship for high school students. The scholarship targets college-bound students who have demonstrated superior Web design and development skills. For the 2008–2009 year, the CIW college scholarship program will award one student with a $1,000 scholarship and two additional students with $500 each.

The CIW college scholarship program rewards students who have excelled in Web design and development throughout their secondary education careers (e.g., high school in the United States). To be eligible for consideration, students must be CIW-certified and must complete an online application that includes an essay detailing how they will apply their Web design and development skills to help achieve their personal and professional goals.

The online application can be accessed at www.CIW-certified.com/scholarship All applications must be submitted by December 31, 2007. Winners will be announced on February 20, 2008. Applicants must also provide access to an online portfolio of their Web-design-related work. This portfolio will be judged according to established Web design competencies and its adherence to established Web standards and best practices. Applicants do not necessarily need to indicate that they will focus on a Web design and development career in college, but they need to demonstrate how they will use the skills they have learned through CIW to further their college and professional careers.

"At CIW, we know that the costs of tuition continue to rise worldwide," said Dr. James Stanger, CIW Chief Certification Architect. "So our scholarship will help students who have been a part of our community defray their education costs. This scholarship program demonstrates that the skills students learn through the CIW program continue to serve them throughout their college career. The CIW scholarship program also demonstrates the benefit of belonging to CIW's social network."

The CIW college scholarship program is an extension of CIW's ongoing efforts to help prepare students for in-demand Web-related job roles at a professional level. Several states across the country, including Arkansas, Tennessee and Virginia, currently offer college credit for high school students who complete a Web-related class taught with CIW courseware and who pass the high-stakes certification exam. Worldwide, partners such as the University of Paisley and Hebei University in China also use CIW in their college credit programs.
