CIW Faculty Institute 

The CIW Faculty Institute is a structured faculty development program designed to facilitate CIW training for educators in an accessible and affordable environment. CIW classes taught by experienced IT educators help train instructors on the material covered in the CIW courseware and on ways to implement a CIW program in their own schools and classrooms.

A select list of approved Faculty Institute academic institutions offer CIW Faculty Institute training for IT and business educators. These academic institutions have extensive experience with the CIW program, and they help prepare secondary and post-secondary educators to become CIW Certified Instructors (CIs) using Official CIW curriculum. Faculty Institute classes are open to all public educators.

Open enrollment - Instructor-Led Course
This is the traditional 5-day instructor-led course, which takes place at a school in your training area. Seating is generally limited to the capacity of the host school.

On-line classes
On-line courses are offered through continuing education programs with our partner community colleges. These courses are offered during normal semester scheduling and availability will vary. Please contact us for more information and scheduling of the online courses.

Hybrid classes
This class consists of on-line training and in-class review and certification. The hybrid course will begin with a group introduction session then each participant will be able to move through the on-line component completing the course requirements on their own. The group will meet again at the end of the course for a follow up review before testing.

Private classes
We can customize any course to meet the needs of your teachers. Our training courses can be modified to meet various class numbers and course content. Call for information and pricing for your specific needs.
