POSITION SUMMARY:

Knowledge of and experience in Web architecture. Provide technical leadership for the project and mentor project subordinates in the web architecture. Establish the technical architecture for web projects in conjunction with the project manager. Provide technical leadership on all design activity, assisting team with selecting among technical alternatives. Experience with patterns, databases, and interfaces.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

  • Perform maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing web project.
  • Perform all Web Portal Services.
  • Support Systems Engineers and Web Project Managers as required.
  • Develop, create, update & maintain a new SharePoint Intranet site.
  • Test all web developed tools and applications
  • Support internal and external production sites as well as COOP capabilities.
  • Design and maintain virtualized servers for web and SharePoint servers.
  • Design and test all COOP and Disaster Recovery procedures for Web services.
  • Write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet requirements.
  • SQL Server maintenance/development.
  • Performs frequent checks and monitors all system servers.
  • Apply operating system updates patches, and configuration changes.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
  • Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recoveries.
  • Assist Help Desk technicians by applying diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as assigned.

Office Automated systems

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules. May be required to work different shifts.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Work will require lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. 

High School graduate or equivalent. Some college (Associate’s Degree) and/or specialized IT training is preferred.

This position requires DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification and corresponding Computing Environment certification. Must have at least one of the following: Open CA; CIW Web Development Professional; CIW Web Design Cert, CIW JavaScript Specialist Cert, CIW Site Development Associate, CIW Web Design Specialist, CIW Java Script Spec; MCTS SharePoint; AWS; MCSA System Administrator: Windows Server 2003, MCITP Server Administrator: Windows Server 2008, MCITP Enterprise Administrator: Windows Server 2008, MCITP Virtualization Administrator Windows Server 2008 R2, MCSA Windows Server 2008, MCSA Windows Server 2012, MCSE Server Administrator: Windows Server 2003, MCSE Desktop Infrastructure 2012, MCSE Server Infrastructure 2012, MCSE Private Cloud 2012, Server+, VCP 4, VCP 5. 

  • Must have or able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance and the ability to acquire and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be US citizen.
  • Must have valid US Passport.

This position requires a Secret Security Clearance and a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). If you do not currently have an SSBI, you will be required to submit a SSBI request to the appropriate source within 10 business days if selected for this position.

Experience:

Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in SharePoint design, maintenance, and customization.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of HTML, MS-SQL, VB scripting, and LDAP. 
  • Basic knowledge of common desktop computer hardware and operating systems.
  • MS Office suite expertise is required as well as excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Secret with SSBI
