The Web Specialist is responsible for supporting the Attorney General's office by providing internal and external website and Internet support, knowledge center administration, software application support and user training. This position is responsible for maintaining the OAG website by keeping it up to date and presentable to the public, as well as the OAG Intranet by keeping it up to date and resourceful for the OAG internal staff.
The Web Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the OAG's knowledge and training online portal. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, domain and content administration, configuration and content integration, registration for both state and non-state employees (including password resets), and providing activity reports and responding to research requests.
The Web Specialist is expected to remain current in new and advanced web software and design practices. Based on experience and capabilities, responsibilities may be expanded to include design and coding of internal applications. Other duties may be assigned.
A Bachelors degree in job related area (or equivalent work experience) and two or more years of web development experience is preferred. Certified Internet Web Professional (CIW) or equivalent certifications is a plus. Applicants must have a strong knowledge and familiarity with website development, working knowledge of web page design, scripting and web server administration, working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Visual Studio, Fireworks, SharePoint 2010 (or greater), proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe products (specifically Dreamweaver and Photoshop), ability to work in a team setting and manage priorities of multiple internal clients, ability to influence across the organization and work effectively with all levels of staff, ability to understand and use Google analytics, knowledge of IIS and web based authentication, working knowledge of security measures at all stages of the information systems life cycle, Experience in SharePoint Services and web part development, strong communication skills (orally and written), detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
