CIs524 - Computer Interaction and Design: This course provides students with the concepts, theory and design of human computer interaction (HCI) to address organizational issues. Students learn the practical principles and guidelines to develop high quality interface designs that users can understand, predict, and control. Topics include a strategic and tactical assessment of expert reviews, usability testing, direct manipulation, menu selection, and form design. Current HCI topics are addressed with a balanced emphasis on mobile devices, web and desktop platforms.
CIS542 - Web Application Security: This course addresses the risks, threats and vulnerabilities for web-based applications and the people who use them. This course presents security strategies to mitigate the risk associated with web applications and social networking. Topics also include a review of the evolutionary changes that have occurred in computing communications, and social networking and securing systems against risks, threats, and vulnerabilities associated with web-enabled applications. (SSCP, Security+, CCISP, CEH preferred)
Ph.D. degree (or other terminal degree) in information systems, information technology or related field
•Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Information Technology / Information Systems, preferred
•Physics / Statistics / Mathematics / Engineering / Chemistry / Management Information Systems / Biology / Business
Specific experience in the discipline and certifications preferred in areas related to Microsoft server technologies, web design, project management, C++, Java, computing security, computing forensics, and technology governance. Associated certifications may include CompTIA, CEH, CISSP, SSCP, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, CIW, MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, PMP, ITIL and COBIT.
