- Western Hemisphere (2RCC-WH) which is an exciting program focused on supporting the Army's Network.

About the Job:

As a database administrator (DBA) within the 2nd Regional Cyber Center
- Western Hemisphere (2RCC-WH) the desired candidate will be on a team who are responsible for the ongoing maintenance and documentation of database components supporting critical information systems and enterprise end users. Continual care of the databases are required to ensure that applications and databases operate at peak performance, with integrity and are as secure as possible. Knowledge in applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG's) tracking the DB's security compliance and troubleshooting are vital to this position. As the Database member you will may be included in the planning, development and troubleshooting of all ongoing and future projects requiring database support. Candidates should be proficient in documenting their process for DB optimizations, troubleshooting and new builds. Ideal candidates will be adaptive to changing environments display initiative, good judgment, and have a positive attitude.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess industry certifications to meet DoD Directive 8570.01 training requirements, as required, such as CompTIA Security+ Must possess, or be able to obtain, a U.S. Secret clearance w/SSBI investigation High School plus 7 years of equivalent work experience Experience in working with Oracle and Solaris/Unix operating systems CIW Database Design Specialist or Oracle Database Administrator/ Associate certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:
