The National Security Agency is seeking a User Experience (UX) Designer to help build and create the strategy and design for next generation analysis tools for the intelligence community.   • Develop the user experience for new applications from concept to completion
  • Work closely with development teams to build solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible.
  • Collaborate with the team on the visual design
  • Document the design and drive through the details to make everything simple and delightful.

Qualifications

Entry is with a high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's degree and no experience.

Degree in Design or Computer Science is preferred. Relevant experience must be in user-centered design, usability, technical writing, software use interface design, graphic/visual design, information architecture, interaction design, user research, web development, and/or other design.

The following certifications are desirable:

  • ACA Adobe Certified Associate
  • ACE Adobe Certified Expert
  • CIW Associate

Must meet requirements as specified in examples above, plus one of the following:

  • A Post-Baccalaureate Certificate.
  • Programming experience.
  • Software development life cycle experience (e.g., software design, quality assurance, testing, planning, requirements gathering, deployment).
  • Experience participating on a team software development activity.
  • Technical instruction experience (i.e., experience teaching relevant content).
  • Experience with front end web design HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
  • Able to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams of many different disciplines.
  • A maniacal attention to detail
  • A technical understanding of how software and services work
  • An Adobe Creative Suite wizard.
  • Bring calm and simplicity to complexity.
  • Can make HTML, CSS and JS sing and dance desirable.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Salary Range:  $43,057 - $68,465
